Bangladeshi Shipping Secretary visits JN Port

A 12-member delegation led by Mr Mehdi Shafique Alam, Secretary (Shipping), Republic of Bangladesh, visited JN Port on April 22 to see the Port’s facilities and know about its future development plans. The delegation was accompanied by the Director (IWAI) and Mr C. B. Singh (Advisor – Ministry of Shipping, GoI).

The delegation was received by Mr Neeraj Bansal, Chairman I/c of JN Port, who gave a brief about the Port’s traffic performance, financial performance and future development plans at a meeting also attended by senior Port officers. The delegation was taken on a tour of the Port’s operational area and explained about the facilities at the terminals.

Mr Alam, in his address, stressed that he looked forward to having a long-term association with JN Port
