TIL’s Hyster-TIL reach stacker commissioned at Mumbai Port

The Kolkata-based TIL Ltd, the infrastructure equipment major and the market leader in mobile cranes in India, recently secured an order and subsequent commissioning of Hyster-TIL reach stacker, model RS 45-31CH from Monarays Marine Services Pvt. Ltd, for its Mumbai Port operation.

The company said in a communiqué that it had a successful roll out and delivery of the 100th Hyster-TIL reach stacker from its Changual facility in Kharagpur in December 2014.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr D. Nayak, Mumbai Port Traffic Manager, and Mr Phansare and Mr Gautam Dey, Deputy Traffic Manager of Mumbai Port.

The Hyster-TIL reach stacker has been manufactured by TIL under licence agreement with NACCO Materials Handling Group, Inc. (NMHG) for its Hyster brand, the company said in a communiqué.

The Goa-based Monarays Marine Services Pvt. Ltd is a logistics service provider for transportation and handling of containers at Mumbai Port since April 2006.

The company is presently the majority stakeholder in transportation of containers from the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to Mumbai Port, apart from catering to many major shipping lines.

The company, under the leadership of its Chairman, Capt. Satish Seth, Director, Capt. Chetan Seth and Managing Director, Mr Bharat Seth, has steadily increased its fleet strength as well as its scope of transportation services to ICD-Mulund, Pune and Gujarat, the communiqué said.
